About Us

The STEM Origins Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Bay County Florida. Our IRS Certification, Articles of Incorporation & ByLaws can be found here.

Our mission is to support local education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with projects that inspire students and teachers at every level of the academic ladder from Kindergarten through College.

Our intent is to increase the quantity, quality and diversity of STEM students graduating from high school and college.  Our approach is start our engagement with students in early childhood (K-5) to stimulate interest and ignite passion in STEM topics and then continue our engagement through middle, high school and college with increasingly sophisticated activities.

Our programs provide enhanced hand-ons experiences, classroom equipment and direct access to STEM professionals through in-class visits, virtual presentations, as well as coaching on innovation, invention and long term goals.  Over time, we expect to offer scholarships to college for STEM fields as well as scholarships to local and national STEM camps for all grades.

We also support STEM teachers with grants for career and professional development as well as innovation experiments and pilots in the classroom which expand or enhance the STEM learning experience for students.

We believe that excellence STEM education should be recognized both for the efforts of teachers as well as students.  Our an annual award ceremony will lift up those teachers and students deserving of special recognition, so that we all might learn by their examples.
